I recently drove a Kia Soul and was quite impressed. It's a funky car on a small footprint and it could appeal to people who look to downsize out of SUVs. One small thing that I didn't mention then was the Rear Camera Display (RCD) built into the rearview mirror on the model I drove. It's a very neat innovation (supplied by Gentex?). You engage reverse gear and there it is, a small LCD screen on the left-hand side of the mirror showing the view out the back. And that's just where it should be because your eyes ought to be enlisting the help of the rearview mirror. Engage a forward gear and it's automatically gone. Not a huge deal, I know, but there was a minor wow factor I thought.
I'm starting to get a small idea of the scale of things here in China, but really, I'm only scratching the surface of this vast country....
