Can you get through this little lot from the Daily Telegraph and not break into a smile at at least one of them? I'm easily amused, obviously.
There are a couple of 'edgy' ones (Ian Botham might get a hot reception at Karachi airport after what he said about Pakistan).
Gotta love long-gone Tommy Cooper and there's a good one in there from him. They don't make 'em like that any more. I recall seeing him on TV when I was a wee bairn (1970s, before ya ask); he walks on stage, looks at audience, long pause, removes beret from head, throws it randomly and then announces proudly, "Chuck Beret!" - kind of straddles the awkward borderline between rubbish and genius, in itself a kind of worthy achievement.
