USA: ZF Lemforder expands facility for BMW Z4 axle assemblies
ZF Lemforder Corporation - a division of ZF Friedrichshafen AG - has opened a 40,000 square-foot expansion of its Duncan, S.C. facility (191 Parkway West, Duncan, S.C.). The expansion was completed to produce front and rear axle assemblies for the new BMW Z4 Roadster to be built at BMW Manufacturing Corporation in upstate South Carolina. The Duncan facility had produced the front axle assembly for the Z3 Roadster since 1994. In addition, it also produces complete front and rear axle assemblies for the BMW X5.
