Vehicle production this week in the U.S., Canada and Mexico is expected to hit an estimated 285,895 units, a shortened work week for most U.S. and Canadian plants due to holiday observances, down from the 325,642 cars and trucks built last week, according to Ward's Automotive Reports. Including this week's estimates, calendar year North American output now totals 12,537,028 vehicles, up 2.8 percent from like-1999's pace.
