Vehicle production this week in the U.S., Canada and Mexico is expected to hit an estimated 121,344 units, up from the 74,363 cars and trucks built last week when most manufacturers were closed for summer shutdowns and model year changeovers, according to Ward's Automotive Reports. Including this week's estimates, calendar year North American output now totals 9,906,860 vehicles, up 4.7 percent from like-1999's pace.
