SWEDEN: Volvo Cars 2015 range more 'connected'
As part of a 2015 model year range update, which adds new Drive-E powertrain and eight-speed automatic transmission options to the V40 hatchback line plus interior and standard equipment enhancements range-wide, Geely-owned Volvo Cars is widening availability of improved infotainment "with more cloud based possibilities".
All new models can now be equipped with the updated on-board infotainment and navigation experience called Sensus Connect, offering a fully connected car.
First seen in the S60, V60 and XC60, the cloud-based services allow the driver to find and pay for parking, locate new restaurants at the destination and stream music seamlessly.
The 'HERE Location Platform' provides connected navigation with 3D maps.
The new Connected Service Booking app tells the driver when it’s time to have their car serviced – and suggests an appointment at the local dealership.
Also vailable through Sensus Connect are:
100,000 global radio stations through TuneIn
Radio – streaming music service
