JAPAN: Updated Mazda Demio gains U-LEV rating
Mazda Motor Corporation has updated its popular Japanese market Demio compact model line changes including a new engine that delivers better fuel economy and greatly reduced emissions. Trim an equipment levels have also been enhanced. The latest Japanese market Demio - basis of the export specification and Spanish-built Mazda 2 models - boasts significantly improved fuel economy and emissions and, now with Japan's U-LEV (Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle) certification, is eligible for a tax reduction of 32,000 yen - the 15,000 yen automobile acquisition tax and the 17,000 yen automobile tax.
