'Toy' concept comes apart for restyling
Toyota is taking a concept car to a toy show, displaying a sporty, open-top family-oriented model in the Kids Life Zone at the International Tokyo Toy Show 2013, this week.
The Camatte57s aims to “convey the joy and dreams of motor vehicles to current and future drivers”, gushed the automaker in a statement.
“By providing an opportunity for parents and children to together experience the fun of driving, car customisation and car enthusiasm.”
Features include 57 detachable small lightweight panels to allow easy and extensive colour and design customisation, open top roadster styling, and the accelerator and brake pedals and seats can be adjusted to allow children to drive.
An adult seated in the rear-right seat assists steering and braking to help develop the child’s driving skills.
