CHINA: Toyota sales rise 21%

Toyota Motor said on Wednesday it sold 21% more cars year on year in China in 2009, well behind General Motors' 67% gain and Changan Ford Mazda's 54.5%.

CHINA: GM and JVs set sales records
General Motors and its joint ventures set new marks for unit sales in China in the month of June and for the first half of the year, the automaker said. Sales in June rose 23.2% on an annual basis to 176,486 units. For the first half, sales were up 48.5% from the same period in 2009 to 1,209,138 units.
