JAPAN: Toyota readying Prius recall - report

Toyota Motor is set to file recalls over brake problems with its latest Prius hybrid in both the United States and Japan, in a move that will affect more than 270,000 vehicles, Japanese sources familiar with the matter said on Monday.

Used car imports of 7,893 - up 28.1% year on year - as usual outpaced New Zealand new car registrations of 4,446 in July, down 0.6%, the New Zealand Transport Agency said on Thursday.
