Prime-TASS News reports that Toyota Motor Corporation's sales through its Russian dealership network nearly doubled on the year in 2002 to 8,630 cars, up from 4,461 in 2001.

According to the report, the company's best-selling models were the Corolla, with 1,595 sales, and the Camry, with 1,956 sales.

Toyota's models on the Russian market include the Corolla, the Avensis, the Land Cruiser-100 sports utility vehicle, the Land Cruiser Prado and the RAV4, among others.
