Suzuki Motor has been operating only one shift at its Hungarian plant, and plans to continue doing so for the rest of 2014, Reuters reported, citing Napi Gazdasag.

Since the company ended production of two models - SX4 and Splash - at the factory, it has been operating only one shift instead of two.

The plant at Esztergom will go back to two shifts once it starts manufacturing the redesigned Vitara in early 2015.

Suzuki does not plan any layoffs at the plant.
