INDIA: Suzuki and Maruti joint venture begins trial aluminium part production - report
Suzuki and its Indian partner Maruti Udyog have begun trial production at an aluminium foundry to make engine parts such as cylinder blocks and cylinder heads, according to a Detroit News wire report. The report said Suzuki Metal India Ltd., the joint venture between Suzuki and Maruti, India's biggest car maker, set up the aluminium plant with an investment of 1.15 billion rupees ($US25 million).
