UK PEUGEOT workers at their Coventry plant are on strike today. The action follows a narrow vote in favour of industrial action in a dispute over hours. Workers on the weekend shift will also strike on Sunday.

Unions have said that an all-out strike will commence on August 21 - the day the plant re-opens after its summer maintenance shutdown - unless the dispute is settled.

This morning it has been reported that meetings will continue today with the Joint Negotiating Committee.
