Skoda is introducing its Fabia GreenLine series in India.

The vehicle is to be priced below INR1,000,000 and is seen as part of a progression for the growing brand in India.

Skoda is also launching an estate version of the Fabia and the Roomster MPV.

The 1.4 TDI Fabia GreenLine achieves nearly 69mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 figures of 109g/km.

The car's tweaks over the standard model include additional aerodynamic panels being fitted to the underside of the chassis, the replacement of the spare tyre with a puncture repair kit and the raising of the front bumper by 35mm.

Skoda claims that on the combined cycle a single tank of diesel will produce a range of 689 miles - 75 miles more than the standard 1.4 TDI Fabia 2 on which the GreenLine is based.
