USA: Saab's October 2000 Sales Up 40 Percent
Saab Cars USA, Inc., the U.S. importer and distributor of Saab 9-3 and 9-5 automobiles, announced sales of 3,681 cars during October 2000. This compares to 2,627 cars in October 1999. Year-to-date, Saab is keeping up with the pace set in 1999. The year-to-date total sales are at 32,595, which is down 4.7 percent from the same period in 1999 (34,121). Saab believes it will match last year's sales figure -- which was up 28.6 percent over 1998.
