USA: Saab's June 2000 Sales Up 6.5 Percent; Saab 9-5 Sedan Increases 21 Percent; Saab 9-5 Wagon Up 64 Percent
Saab Cars USA, Inc., the U.S. importer and distributor of Saab 9-3 and 9-5 automobiles, announced sales of 3,970 cars during June 2000. This compares to 3,729 cars in June 1999. Year- to-date, Saab sales are at 17,525 vehicles, down 6.6 percent from last year. However, last year's sales include a total of 2,127 fleet vehicles. When comparing dealer retail sales only, Saab is 5.8 percent ahead of last year. Saab expects an equal number of fleet sales to occur later this year.
