JAPAN: Renault plans big sales boost
French car maker Renault is after 4,000 sales in Japan this year, almost 85 percent more than the brand achieved last year. Renault sold 3,025 vehicles in 1999 but a change of distributor and delays in establishing a strong dealer network reduced volume to just to 2,175 in 2000.
