MEXICO: Renault may build plant - paper
Renault could increase its current operations in the Nissan plants in Cuernevaca and Aguascalientes within two or three years. The company returned to Mexico in 2000, ending a 14-year absence.
The French car maker bought 36.8 percent of Nissan in 1999, and began operations
at Nissan's Mexican plants in December 1999. Production of the company's Clio
model is expected to begin in Cuernevaca before the end of the year.
