The name of the second Chinese manufacturing joint venture to be entered into by PSA Peugeot Citroën has been revealed as Changan Auto PSA (CAPSA).

This JV is separate to PSA's existing arrangement with Dongfeng Motor and should initially centre on both light commercial vehicles and the Citroën DS series cars.

While nothing has been confirmed, the Citroën DS4 and DS5 are considered to be the most likely introductory models to be made at the Shenzhen plant in Guangdong province. This facility is due for completion later in 2011. Peugeot cars and LCVs would logically follow during 2012 and 2013, as may the tentatively named DS9, thought to be a large Citroën sedan to replace the C6 as previewed by the Metropolis concept.
