Peugeot's Mexico office reportedly will acquire a new status, becoming a subsidiary rather than a mere delegation. A new management group is being formed and will come to Mexico from Chile, the country from which Peugeot models currently sold in Mexico are imported, Celis reported. The automaker reportedly again is considering building an assembly plant in Mexico, but not, as was previously the case, in the central state of San Luis Potosi. Peugeot now has its eye on a location in the outskirts of the northern city of Monterrey, Celis reported.
