Tata Motors has said discussions on buying Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford are still taking place.

A spokesman told the Associated Press on Tuesday that the Indian automaker sees "no roadblocks" in the way of a deal.

The news agency noted that Ford spokesman John Gardiner had earlier dampened expectations by cautioning not to expect a deal during this week's Geneva show.

But Tata's Debasis Ray told AP that talks were continuing to buy the brands from Ford.
