UK: No BMW 7-series recall planned - importer
Two possible fuel system defects that have prompted a recall of BMW 7-series saloons in Germany will not lead to similar action in the UK, says BMW (GB) corporate communications Graham Biggs. Dow Jones yesterday said that a potential throttle valve defect may affect 8,000 7-series cars made between September and December 2001 while another potential problem with the electronic fuel pump may affect 15,000 cars produced between last October and April this year. Some cars may suffer from both defects.
