UK: Nissan workers vote to accept 2003/4 pay deal
Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK) workers have voted by a majority of 61% to 39% to accept a pay and conditions deal for the 2003/04 period. The vote came after a recommendation of acceptance by the full Company Council, followed by a series of presentations to all employees. The accepted offer includes a pay increase (back-dated to 1 January 2003) of 3%, and, from 1 January 2004, a further increase of 3% or RPI, whichever is the greatest.
