UK: New car prices creep up, but discounting activity increases
UK new car prices crept up during March by 1.1 percent compared to February, but the level of discount activity in the market is still healthier than 12 months ago, according to data released by the independent price monitor, CarPriceCheck (www.carpricecheck.com). According to CarPriceCheck, transaction prices increased on more than eight percent of models available in the UK market during March. Car buying activity was also up 40 percent on the previous trading month.
