Valeo has announced the appointment of Luc Bleriot as Chief Operating Officer and André Gold as Group Technical Senior Vice President.

At the same time Robert de La Serve was appointed Senior Vice President for the Valeo Service Activity. Bleriot, Gold and de La Serve all report to Thierry Morin, Chairman & CEO.

Valeo says that the creation of the role of Chief Operating Officer will encourage transversal synergies across the twelve Industrial Branches of Valeo and facilitate the development of the group's 'Domain' strategy aimed at developing solutions for vehicles that are safer, more comfortable and with reduced fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.

The twelve Industrial Branch Vice Presidents will report to Bleriot.  Bleriot has spent 12 years with Valeo, most recently as Senior Group Vice President for the Electrical and Electronics Activity.

Gold's role as Group Technical Senior Vice President is a newly created one which regroups the group functions of Industrial, Quality, Purchasing and Information Systems.  In order to build on the significant progress Valeo has made over the past three years in cost competitiveness and quality these functions need to work more closely together. Gold has spent seven years with Valeo, most recently as Senior Group Vice President Thermal Systems Activity.

The Valeo Service Activity regroups the two Branches and all the functions serving the independent aftermarket and original equipment spares market. To accelerate its growth on a global basis, Valeo will strengthen its marketing activities and utilize its wide array of new products and technologies to develop customized solutions and services.  De La Serve has been with Valeo for 18 years and was previously Vice President Lighting Systems Branch.
