JAPAN: MMC to globally consolidate model names
Mitsubishi is planning to consolidate its model names for the global market as part of its global branding strategy and in concert with greater cooperation with DaimlerChrysler. Traditionally, Mitsubishi - in common with several other Japanese carmakers - has offered the same models under different model names in different markets, differentiating broadly between Asia, North America, Australia and Europe.
