With nine months of the year gone, there are some clear winners and losers in the UK sales tables with Mazda a stand-out success. The Japanese brand, whose year to date volume is up 112.8% to 22,112 units, reflects the recent change from an independent importer to a full 'factory shop', a considerable increase in advertising and other promotional activities and, we suspect, far keener pricing at the factory gates than the independent was ever offered.
