KAZAKHSTAN: Locally assembled SsangYong Nomad launches
SsangYong's locally assembled 'Nomad', an SUV based on the Actyon, has gone on sale in Kazakhstan.
The model is the first CKD model for SsangYong in Kazakhstan and annual capacity is planned at 10,000 a year as demand from other markets in central Asia rises.
The Nomad model will be locally assembled in Kostranay, Kazakhstan by Agromash Holding.
SsangYong has exported CBU (Completely Built Up) vehicles to Kazakhstan through a business partnership with Allur Auto since 2003. Across four model range including the Korando, Actyon Sports, Kyron and the Actyon, the company sold a total of 3,600 units in Kazakhstan last year.
