JAPAN: Jaguar abandons retail for importing
Jaguar Japan is to sell its four Tokyo dealers to Tokyo Nissan next month. Jaguar Tokyo, a subsidiary of Tokyo Nissan, will run the four dealerships which collectively employ 100 staff. Jaguar Japan intends to invest the money raised from selling the retail outlets into its import and distribution business to handle the larger volume of cars now being sold in Japan.
