American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) has reported an increase of seven percent in sales of Isuzu SUVs for this year compared to last. Trooper, AIMI's flagship SUV and luxury segment leader is proving that customers still value real SUV performance, durability and traditional styling. Trooper sales for the year as of the end of August rose 18 percent, as compared to the same period a year ago. Of the 13,802 Troopers sold through the end of August 2000, the rear-drive 2WD version generated over one-third of those sales.
