Strong sales in the UK and Continental Europe helped  automotive services group Inchcape report a 25% rise in interim pre-tax profits, and offset volume falls in Hong Kong, the Financial Times (FT) said. The FT said that the group, which distributes and retails brands such as Ferrari, Jaguar and Land Rover, managed to push profits for the six months to June 30 up from £43.6 million to £54.3 million.
