JAPAN: Imports down for sixth month running - paper
Imported vehicle sales in Japan dropped 4.4 percent in February from a year earlier to 20,129 units, down for the sixth consecutive month, the Japan Times said, citing statistics provided by the Japan Automobile Importers Association. Sales of vehicles built by foreign manufacturers dropped 4.9 percent to 18,848 units, while those assembled by Japanese car factories abroad rose 4.1 percent to 1,281 units, the newspaper said.
