JAPAN: Hyundai Motor to open 40 dealerships in Japan this year
It has been reported in the Japanese press, that the Japanese sales unit of Hyundai Motor Co. (South Korea), will create a network of 40 dealerships by the end of this year, with an eye toward selling 5,000 cars in 2001. Hyundai will introduce three models aimed at attracting young people in their 20s and 30s, as it will begin full-scale sales in the Japanese market next year, according to Hyundai Motor Japan Co., which is based in Chiba Prefecture, adjacent to Tokyo.
