CHINA: Hyundai-Kia set to establish HQ
Hyundai Motor Co., alongside its subsidiary Kia Motors, is set to establish a headquarters in Beijing on December 1 to cover both the Chinese - which includes Hong Kong - and Taiwanese markets, say Asian news sources (30/11/00). According to the report, Vice President Cha Jung-Sik is to be in charge of the operation which has the responsibility for both production and marketing within the Chinese territories. This HQ will be set up as a separate division from the overseas operations headquarters, thus having autonomous power.
