JAPAN: Honda manages 'zero output' of landfill waste at all plants
Honda has announced that it achieved "zero" output of landfill waste at all of its domestic manufacturing plants in July, becoming the first such company in the Japanese automobile industry. Honda has reached this target ahead of its scheduled time of March 31, 2002. The realisation of the target was implemented through enhancing recycling of materials at each manufacturing stage, distinguishing and reusing waste, and in other ways, the automaker said.
