Honda (UK) has axed the last US-built model from its range. The slow-selling Civic Coupe, a rare sight on UK roads, has gone in a range rationalisation that included the launch of a top-specification hybrid sedan – built in Japan - and the addition of a couple of Swindon-built Civic sports derivatives. Honda has also dropped the Japanese-built 1.7-litre Civic-based Stream minivan and a couple of variants of the ageing HRV SUV line that industry rumour suggests could soon be replaced by the designed-for-US Element.
