USA: Honda Alabama plant expansion ahead of schedule
Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, LLC (HMA) has reached a major milestone in the construction of the company's second assembly line with the final installation of structural steel on the $US425 million expansion project. A traditional "topping out" ceremony this week marked the end of erection of more than 11,500 tons of structural steel on the project in four months and four days. Interior and exterior finishing work on the building shell is also under way and ahead of schedule.
