USA: GM to sue Avanti over Studebaker 'extreme' utility vehicle
GM has demanded that an independent vehicle maker withdraw its new 'extreme' utility vehicle (XUV) from the Chicago Auto Show, backing its demand with a trademark infringement lawsuit. GM says that the Avanti Studebaker XUV looks too much like its GM Hummer H2. GM trademark attorney Charles Ellerbrock said: "The Studebaker XUV is so similar to the H2 that the public will be confused by the knock off of the H2."
