MEXICO: GM says no closures or sackings due to U.S. slump
General Motors (GM) de Mexico says that has no intention of closing plants or sacking workers as a result of the slowdown in the US economy. The GM subsidiary does not expect much effect on Mexican sales and plans to increase production by three to 5 percent over 2000 this year.
