JAPAN: GM in parts-supply mission
General Motors representatives met around 100 auto-part makers in Hiroshima on Monday (4/12/00) to discuss possible procurements, writes Kyodo news service. Woody Williams, executive director in charge of worldwide purchasing at GM Asia-Pacific who addressed the session, said that the world's largest automaker is set to buy parts from any supplier, but only if competitively priced.
