USA: GM brings Cavalier replacement forward
General Motors is to bring its new Chevrolet Cavalier forward by a year, rolling it out as a 2004 model, Automotive News reported, citing GM sources and suppliers. GM is to speed up the development process by only lightly restyling the 2003 German-designed Opel Astra to create the Cavalier, Automtive News said, adding that GM stylists had originally planned a major interior and exterior revamp.
