SOUTH KOREA: General Motors to start selling US-built Chevys
General Motors Korea is about to start selling Chevrolet vehicles made in the US now the free trade agreement (FTA) between the two countries has taken effect.
The FTA reduced import taxes for US-made vehicles to 4% from 8%, Inautonews reported.
The Corvette Coupe goes on sale on 4 May with 430 hp V8 engine.
The Korean price of KRW86.4m (US$76,300) is 50% more than asked in the US.
