USA: Ford taps heritage for $5-a-day finance deal
Ford has responded to GM's latest incentive offer - up to five years interest-free credit - with new deals including some that allow buyers to lease a 'well equipped' Mustang or Ranger 4x2 pickup for $US5 a day. "Henry Ford helped create the American middle class in 1914 when he introduced the $5 day wage and the 40-hour workweek. It was a defining moment in history - one we wanted to tap into for customers in our centennial year," said Ford Division president Steve Lyons.
