CHINA: Ford sales up 30% YTD

ChangAn Ford Mazda, the joint venture between Chongqing ChangAn Automobile, Ford and its affiliate Mazda, sold 144,601 Ford brand cars in China in the first eight months of 2009, up 30% year on year.

Sales surged 111% to 21,127 units in August, the Xinhua news agency said.

Focus sales jumped 58% to 12,269 units in August while the Mondeo Zhisheng and S-Max saw rises of 89% and 88% year on year respectively.
