GERMANY: Ford boosts Kuga output 10% in Spain
Ford of Europe plans to increase Kuga production by 10% or 8,000 units in 2013 to meet increasing demand.
The company expects output at Valencia, Spain, to reach a record 100,000 units this year. It is also made in Elabuga, Russia, China and, as the Escape, in North America.
European sales rose 27% in February.
US sales rose 28% in March and were up 25% for the first quarter of 2013 compared with 2012.
Ford has said it expects to sell over 1m SUVs in Europe in the next six years with the sector accounting for 10% of sales.
