Ford India will open five dealers in small cities to mark the success of the Figo small car which has sold over 300,000 units.

During August, the car manufacturer will open dealerships in Solan, followed by Sri Ganganagar, Gaya, Anand and Sikar, the Hindu Business Line reported. Outlets are also planned in Faridabad and Kochi.

The Figo - a redone previous generation Fiesta - is now exported to 37 countries.

The automaker will expand its Indian dealer network to 265 sales and service outlets in 142 cities with the launch of the new outlets. It plans to expand to 500 by the middle of the decade.
