USA: FedEx Logistics Honored by General Motors as a 1999 Supplier of the Year
FedEx Logistics Inc. announced that its subsidiary, FedEx Supply Chain Services, a leading third party provider of integrated supply chain solutions, was recently honored by General Motors Corporation as a 1999 Supplier of Year. The prestigious award, celebrating its eighth consecutive year, is given annually to GM's best global suppliers in recognition of their superior performance during the previous calendar year. FedEx Logistics, the first third party logistics provider to receive the award for 1998, is now the only 3PL to earn the honor in consecutive years. Since 1995, FedEx Logistics has managed the inbound transportation for more than 1,500 suppliers into 26 GM Powertrain engine, transmission and component plants, primarily in the Midwest.
