MEXICO: Exports, local sales, up for April year
Export vehicle production in Mexico for the year ended April 30 was up seven percent on the previous year, the Mexican Automotive Industry Association (AMIA) announced. AMIA added that local market production for the first four months of 2001 was up 16.5 percent compared with a year ago while wholesale deliveries to Mexican distributors for the year to April 30 rose by 20.6 percent.
