US: Ex-Renault Pelata joins US software firm
Patrick Pelata, former chief operating officer of Renault, has joined US software firm Salesforce.com.
Mr Pelata left Renault after the 'spying scandal' of 2011 in which three senior Renault executives were suspended and virtually accused of industrial espionage. The public accusations of suspected wrong-doing - also whipped up by the French government amid rumours of Chinese involvement - were eventually found to be without foundation and the company apologised to the three.
It was a huge embarrassment for the company. Pelata eventually resigned in 2012.
